By car from Oslo
- Follow E6 northwards.
- When you reach Kløfta, turn into E16 towards Kongsvinger.
- Follow E16 until you reach Skarnes. Take a left turn in the second roundabout, onto Rv24 towards "Sand".
- Follow Rv24 until you reach Sand. Take the left turn at the sign reading "Skolemuseum".
- Take a left turn at the sign towards "Sand Sentralskole, Skolemuseum, Sigurd Hoels hjem".
- At the top of the hill, take a right turn. The museum is the third house on your left hand side.
By car from Kongsvinger
- Follow E16 towards Oslo until you reach Skarnes.
- Take the first exit in the roundabout, onto Rv24.
- Follow Rv24 until you reach Sand. Take the left turn at the sign reading "Skolemuseum".

By car from Hamar
- Follow E6 southwards until the exit marked "Stange".
- Leave the main road, onto Rv24 towards "Kongsvinger".
- Follow Rv24 until you reach Sand. Take the right turn at the sign reading "Skolemuseum".
- Take a left turn at the sign towards "Sand Sentralskole, Skolemuseum, Sigurd Hoels hjem".
- At the top of the hill, take a right turn. The museum is the third house on your left hand side.
